Maury County Parks and Recreation

The Maury County Parks and Recreation Department is proud to present its Master Plan. Community input sessions and online surveys were conducted to gather residents’ ideas for continuing our goals of protecting green space and environmental assets and to provide opportunities for healthy and fun activities for all of our residents. This plan provides a vision for enhancing and expanding parks and recreation throughout the county over the next 20 years.

Sports Fields

MCP has several sports fields, including Lindsey Nelson Stadium, the Columbia American Little League fields, and the Babe Ruth field.

Equestrian Area

MCP offers an extensive equestrian area with two arenas, stall barns, and the Skillington Livestock Barn.

In June 2012, a 1-mile hiking trail and natural area was opened, and plans are in process to eventually link this trail to the existing 1.5-mile paved walking trail. In 2015, an extension to the trail was completed as an Eagle Scout project.
